Trout Fishing Report for Bennett Spring 02-25-22

Fishing report

How's Fishing?

It’s that time of the year again anglers.  March 1St is knocking at the door and everyone is raring to go and ready to get that line in the water. I spoke with a fella the other day that said the opening week of trout season at Bennett Spring was a tradition that has been passed down for several generations. He further ended the conversation by saying,  “Opening week of trout season is my Christmas.”
Opening week should have nice weather as it is forecasted to be in the 60's.
Remember to purchase your state fishing permit, except those 15 years and younger or a Missouri resident 65 years and older. Make sure to also get your daily trout tag. The stream is looking very clear and the weather should be perfect for Tuesday!
As Lucy always says, “See you on the stream!

What’s New?
Hello everyone! Weaver’s has changed ownership. My name is Cory Bennett.  My wife Hillary Bennett, father and mother in-law, Randy and Cheryl Custer are the new owners. Not much is changing, just a couple of new faces in the store. We have been coming to Bennett Spring for many years and enjoyed the traditions.  We look forward to meeting all of you and make sure you stop in to Weaver’s and tell us that big fish story!

"The act of fishing-for fish, dreams or whatever magic is available-is enough. It transports us to a world, and a state of mind, where we are free."  Fennel Hudson
