Fishing Report 7/22/2019

How's Fishing?

Fishing has been exceptional with a a lot of lunkers! The stream is low and gin clear. Beetles are making a comeback as well as grasshoppers. The hopper dropper set up is a fun and easy way to catch some trout. This particular setup can also be accomplished with a size 10 or 12 crackleback floated on top and a size 18 or smaller midge or nymph underneath. Spinners/spincast rods can be setup similarly, although two midges or mini jigs at two different depths under a weighted float can do a lot for your productivity on the stream also. See you on the stream!

Update:

We received increased precipitation overnight 7/21/2019-7/22/2019. The water conditions listed are the difference from yesterday and today.  The stream is higher and has murked up a bit, which stresses the trout.  In turn their feeding habits are affected, but with minor adjustments catching them is not a problem.
