Fishing Report 6-1-21

How's Fishing?
What a great Memorial Day Weekend this was.  It's good to see how our country honors and remembers those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.  We are all thankful for the sacrifices made by these good people, veterans and their families to insure that we continue to live in a free country.
I often hear stories from those that are serving - especially those who are stationed in other countries - about how much the memories of Bennett mean to them.  If this is you, thank you for your service and we are waiting here for you to join your family and friends.
The water this last week has been high and rolling.  There have been a good amount of nice sized fish caught, although not a bunch of lunkers.  Fishing in the eddies and edges of the stream seem to be working the best.  As we know, trout are happy when they don't have to work too hard to fight the current.  The water is dingy as well, so dark lures have been working well.  A brown possum hair roach has been a favorite.
This coming weekend has little chance of rain forecast and the water should be much clearer and slower each day.
Have a great week!

Quote of the Week
“Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world. It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way. A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self.”
