Fishing Report
How's Fishing? We've had a good week of fishing. I was able to fish several times and did well. I had some great days and some “ok” days. But I did catch fish so that is a plus! This week we’ve had a little rain but the water is not up too bad. It is pretty clear but has a slight stain to it. The Niangua River is defiantly rolling but a majority of anglers have reported good fishing.

Several anglers have reported having good luck with the John Deere Mini Jig. The cream mop like always did well along with the orange mop. Glo balls were also a huge hit in Tri Colored Original, Jimi Hendrix, Apricot and also the white. The dry fly bite picked up this week with Griffiths Gnat and the blue wing olive. I tried a couple evening and had several misses but couldn’t connect. The strip was also good with Woolys and crackleback. The key to catching fish for the last couple of weeks has been running everything deep.
In the Rooster Tails, chrome was pretty good this week. Orange glitter and Rainbow trout were also a couple repeat sales as customers reported they were working well. In zone 3 Rainbow floating magnums were working well. With the fast-moving water several anglers were sticking with baits that kept on the hook good. The anglers that were using Power Bait reported it worked well just having trouble keeping it on with the swifter water. With that being said the water has slowed down the last couple of days and salmon peach Power Bait was the ticket for several anglers.
