Fishing Report 4/29/2019

How's Fishing?

Fishing was great this past week.  The stream is clear and low at the present time.  The 3rd Annual Veteran's Free Fishing Day was observed on Saturday April 27th, 2019 with 240 Veterans' in attendance as opposed to the 202 in 2018 it is a growing tradition for Veteran's and their families.  Project Healing Waters had tents set up at Bennett Spring State Park for the festivities.  More information on this amazing project can be found at www.projecthealingwaters.org  A  fish fry was provided streamside for attendees.  A Veterans' Only area was cordoned off in zone 2 where approximately 25 lunkers were stocked for the event.  The tentative date for next years Veterans Free Fishing Day is April 18, 2020.  We thank all the Veteran's for their service and all the volunteers that made this event a success!
