Fishing Report
How’s Fishing- We have had a great couple weeks of fishing. The weather has been pretty decent though the cold weather is moving in on us as the 2023 catch and keep season is coming to an end. So what’s been working? The white thread jig has been working great under an indicator. RGN and zebra midges have also landed several fish this past week. Cracklebacks in the Pumpkin Orange and Bennett Blue worked really well also. Now I said this in my last report but it again was successful for me. After attempting the Renegade dry fly on top, I tucked my rod tip under the water and stripped it as a wet fly. This was a very successful method for me. Now I should also mention that this is all with a floating line without a sink tip. In zone 3- Chartreus green PowerBait was the key for many anglers as it worked very well.
We have had a great year here at Weaver’s Tackle. We have made many new friends and along with some great memories. Everyone here at Weaver’s would like to thank everyone who supported us and we can’t wait to see you next year. I will have the store open during the catch and keep season on Friday and Saturdays from 8 to noon. If you need anything at all please call the store. I hope everyone has a great last few days of the season. As always good luck, be safe and will see you on stream.
