Update How's Fishing?
We have posted some live feeds on Weaver's Facebook page pertaining to the rising stream from moderate rainfall at Bennett Spring State Park. You can still fish the stream with some slight changes in tackle and technique. The best analogy we have heard courtesy of Eric Kirchberg is the following:
When fishing the high, fast moving water imagine a group of people gathered in an area (the people in this scenario are trout in the stream). There is a treadmill that is running at its highest speed down the middle (this being the current of the stream.) Naturally the people/trout are not going to gather on the treadmill when they could stand off to the side and watch one random silly guy/trout yell hold my drink and watch this!
Take a few steps back, watch the water, look for the "standing/swimming room" toss in your line and hold on!
