Fishing Report

How's Fishing?

We have had a normal week of fishing. The weather is wonderful today and the stream is starting to recede. The stream is a milky color as we've had some heavy rain yesterday. With that being said, Several anglers have been in today and reporting they are catching fish.   So how do you fish the higher waters at Bennett Spring? Fish where you would normally wade. So stepping back and fishing closer to the bank as this generally  is where the trout are hanging out and not in the middle in the swift waters after a heavy rain.
We have a low chance of rain in the next couple of days, though I don't believe it's anything to worry about. Marabou, mega worms and mop flies have worked really well the past couple of days. Also if you run a dry fly, parachute Adams and the Griffiths Gnat were productive this week. In zone 3, Orange , Salmon Peach, and white Glitter were anglers' choice this week. Salmon eggs were also working well for several fishermen. Have a great weekend and we will see you on the stream!
