Fishing Report
The Clayton Family from Centralia, MO
How’s fishing? We had a good week of fishing! We had a couple days with some rain which made the stream pretty murky and a little higher. The stream has receded to close to normal levels. Most anglers reported that fishing closer to the banks led them to catching more fish. Usually when the water is murky the consensus is fish dark and deep though the color didn’t appear to matter this week. Angler were using bright and also dark colors and were very successful.
So what was working? In zone 1 and 2 -The black and yellow marabou did very well again this week, along with jigs that contained shiny, sparkles or UV material. The mopfly and mega worms were also pretty popular in cream, white, olive and orange. In zone 3 white, yellow and orange worked well. A couple anglers reported the red salmon eggs were working great.
We have a pretty good chance of rain today though Sunday looks promising. I hope everyone has a great weekend. We will see you on the stream!
