Fishing Report 10/3/2019

How's Fishing?

Fishing has been great.  The 3rd Annual Ladies Free Fishing Day went well with upwards of 500 ladies tags handed out.  The mid day rain didn't even put a slight damper on the festivities.   The stream is low and clear.  The trout abundant and sometimes willing to attack, with a silver flash, your best guess at a fly they would like to devour.  I have been working the water with a variety of Midges sizes 18 to 22, Woolies, and Cracklebacks sizes 8 to 12 that I have tied or that have been gifted to me to try.  I try to work my way through zones one and two with various patterns that I know work or that I have been told work.  See you on the stream!

Quote of the Week

My most comfortable seat is the one in my 'fishing car'. It takes me to my favorite streams and soothes my aching back on the way home, after a long day on the water. Of course, a beer or two doesn't hurt anything either.
