Fishing report
Fishing this week has been good. Off and on we have had anglers telling us the fishing had been tough this week though for the most part a large majority are reporting they are catching fish left and right. The weather this week is a bit confused on whether it wants to change over to spring. We have had some rain and snow this morning and it is going to get colder on Saturday morning and then back up into the 50's in the afternoon. But.... a warm streak looks to be on the end of the cold for the rest of the week. So what are the fish biting on? Can you guess? Yep, black and yellow marabou! This week if I had a dime for every time I heard black and yellow marabou. For the spin casters out there, 1/16 oz. and for the fly fisherman, the 1/80th oz. has been working great. With that being said we have also been selling several cream mop flies. I have heard of many ways to fish the mop fly but the majority of anglers say they are dead drifting with an indicator. For zone 3, (orange and glitter) and (white and glitter) Powerbait has been the go to this week. This was the case also last week for the Powerbait. Have a great weekend everyone and good luck out there.
